XD Well, I'm setting it in the late 1520's, because that's about the time the Spanish started showing up. (This means the Mayan civilization is almost gone - mostly scattered into tribes.) I'm placing the story in Palenque (It's near-ish to modern day Chiapas, a place I've spent some time in so I'll feel comfortable describing it ) and this way Cougar's mom can get pelvicy with his dad and also raise Cougar on her own in the city with out having them both killed or sacrificed. Palenque is basically becoming a ghost town about then. Out side of that, history is going to do what I want when I want it. >:D
